BETHANY WINES
Bethany Wines is a small family-owned winery, and they have just celebrated 30 years of winemaking (they are also in their 160th year of viticulture).
The thirty hectares of vineyard in Bethany, comprising the Bethanien Block, the Old Manse block and the Homestead
Block are fanned during summer evenings with cooling gully breezes, creating a special microclimate which allows the
grapes to achieve good sugar and acid levels without becoming over-ripe. This gradual ripening creates well balanced
wines with flavour and structure.
Bethany Wines achieved a 5 star rating in James Halliday’s 2012 Wine Companion.

2008 GRENACHE
+716004 · 12x750ml
Made from 100% Grenache grapes grown on some of the Barossa's oldest bush vines, hand-pruned and hand-picked. It has a delightful, vibrant red colour and a restrained bouquet with a touch of spice. The harmonious mid-weight palate displays excellent varietal and fresh raspberry flavours, balanced with light, soft tannins. It goes well with Mediterranean dishes such as tapas and pizza and is the perfect partner for barbequed or oven baked rack of lamb.

2005 SHIRAZ/CABERNET
+718337 · 12x750ml
Aromas of ripe berries and spice are followed by a palate filled with plum and blackcurrant flavours. The mouthfeel is
full and rich yet beautifully rounded with soft, fine tannins. Whilst very pleasant to drink when young it will improve
in the bottle for 5+ years. It will be enjoyed with all beef dishes and is especially good with Ossa Bucco alla Milanese.

2004 “GR9” RESERVE SHIRAZ
+718338 · 6x750ml
The 2004 vintage saw generous fruit characters and typical Barossa full bodied flavours expected from this varietal and
has provided us with a wine that is dense ruby red with some hints of deep purple. Ripe plums, mulberries and chocolate
notes backed by oaky vanillin nuances fill the bouquet and follow on to plumy, briery flavours on the palate tempered
with toasty oak flavours. This wine is showing good concentration and weight featuring well integrated, fine grained tannins,
it is built to last, a superb food wine with typical Barossa pedigree.
