Fine wine, superb food and magnificent panoramic views are the signature feature of the new Guardian Peak winery which opened in December 2005. These fruit driven wines include three red blends and three single varietal wines which embody the new-world style of winemaking allowing them to be enjoyed at an early age.

2006 GUARDIAN PEAK MERLOT

Cherry and ripe fruit form the fruit component of the aroma. Complexity is showing with integrated oak aromas like toffee and coffee.
The wine offers intense up-front and good length of cherry fruit flavours. The ripe fruit is complimented by flavours of chocolate
and liquorices. This juicy and chewy wine offers a medium to long finish provide and intriguing balance of fruit flavour and complexity.

Bright ruby red.Juicy and plumy with a hint of smoky pepper. A lively Shiraz, with lush and vibrant red berries. There is also broad mocha feel to the wine backed up by plums and blackberries with an elegant velvety finish. 7320 cases made.

Bright Ruby Red. Offers aromas of candy floss, strawberries and dark ripe cherries. Shows sleek oak spice and a delicate smoked bacon essence infused with a leathery feel from the Shiraz. Refined with good body and a richly structured mid palate. Shiraz seems to dominate the palate and gives a juicy feel to the wine. 4810 cases made.

Herbaceous, with a spiciness that is delicately extracted from the oak. Floral aromas of jasmine make the initial impression, developing
into rich coffee and mocha flavours. Pleasant, fresh, red fruit flavours are noticeable on the palate. This is softly supported by coffee
and mocha flavours that follow-through from the aroma. This delicate red wine with a full mouth-feel should develop beautifully.
