717970 - Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2006
This bright Sauvignon Blanc is ripely herbaceous, with pronounced tropical aromas of gooseberry, passionfruit, peaches and honey accents. Tropical flavours of passionfruit and stonefruits entice the palate, complemented with a refreshing lemon lift. Beautifully balanced with silken texture, this refreshing wine has excellent length and a long-lasting creamy-smooth dry finish. It is an ideal food-wine most popularly enjoyed in its youth.
717973 - Reserve Merlot Malbec 2004
This strikingly powerful Hawke’s Bay red was made from grapes grown on vines (planted 1997-1998) in the company’s Mere Road vineyard, in the famous Gimblett Gravels District.
This fruity, berryish plummy red shows classic Merlot characters, enriched with spicy, gamey Malbec. It will develop even greater complexity and mellowness with age but is already highly enjoyable.
717974 - Reserve Cabernet Merlot 2004
This classic Hawkes Bay wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 55% and Merlot 45%. Showing excellent colour, enticingly dark and fragrant, it is rich and spicy with strong blackcurrant and plum flavours over a backbone of nutty oak. A highly complex wine with substantial body, finely handled French oak and full bodied with a foundation of ripe fine tannins. A benchmark Hawkes Bay wine with obvious cellaring potential.
717975 - Elspeth Cabernet Sauvignon 2000
Densely coloured and crammed with flavour this Hawkes Bay red was made from close-planted vines at Mills Reef’s very own vineyard Mere Road, situated in the heart of the famous Gimblett Gravels district in Hawkes Bay. The grapes were all hand harvested, destemmed and then fermented in stainless steel vats. The wine was then aged in French oak barriques for 18 months and bottled on the 10th September.
Powerful, with notably concentrated blackcurrant, cassis, plum and spice flavours, French oak complexity and a foundation of ripe, supple tannins, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a distinguished red that will reward cellaring for many years.
717976 - Elspeth Malbec 2002
With its strikingly deep colour, substantial body and superbly concentrated flavours of plums, berries and spice, this is a powerful Hawke’s Bay red, full of personality.
Quality French oak seasoning and a backbone of firm concentrated tannins complete this wine, creating a beautiful structure in harmony with fruit flavours. A powerful yet balanced wine.

717979 - Elspeth Syrah 2002
This arrestingly dark and intense Hawke’s Bay red has the classic plum and black pepper flavours of the noble Syrah variety. The palate is weighty and hugely concentrated with powerful tannins in balance with fruit flavours, creating a warm multi layered wine.
Made from densely planted vines in Mills Reef’s Mere Road vineyard, in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowing District, it is a notably bold, rich and complex wine with a spicy, sustained finish.
