Panther Creek
Panther Creek Cellars, located in McMinnville, Oregon, has been producing ultra-premium Pinot noir since 1986. Our wines are made from grapes grown at some of Oregon’s finest vineyards. Our goal in making Panther Creek wine is simple. We want each wine to express the personality of its vintage and character of its vineyard as clearly as possible. We believe that this expressiveness is the essence of great Oregon Pinot noir.
Every Panther Creek wine is unique. We believe that Pinot noir is at its best when it is encouraged to develop characteristics particular to where and when it was grown. We work very hard to create a limited production of well made wines whose individual personalities are able to shine.
724498 - Winemaker’s Cuvee Pinot Noir 2005
Color: Deep ruby
Nose: Black cherry & blue fruit, smoke, and coffee
Palate: Bright forward sweet fruit flavors of cola and red cherries. Fine tannins showing nice persistence
The 2005 Cuvée is a fruit forward yet structured young wine with a nicely developed mid palate and lengthy finish. This wine will drink well young but also has the structure to age gracefully.
724499 - Temperance Hill Pinot Noir 2003
Color: Deep ruby
Nose: Plums, red cherries, smoke and leather
Taste: Sweet cherries, blackberries and briar
Dominated by rich structure, full mid-palate, and lengthy finish, Temperance Hill yields a complex, earthy Pinot, with significant attractiveness in both its youth and with age. 550 cases produced.
724501 - Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir 2003
Color: Deep ruby
Nose: Rose petal notes accenting the scent of warm blackberries
Taste: Sweet red and black fruits, orange peel and fennel
The 2003 Shea shows the explosive aromatics and concentrated forward fruit typical of wines from this site. This wine has beautiful ripe fruit flavor as well as the rich structure needed to age gracefully for many years. 2200 cases produced.
