PRADOREY (Real Sitio de Ventosilla)
Prado Rey is in the heart of Spain’s premier wine producing region. The 3,000 hectares Estate dedicates 520 hectares to vineyards.
The vines grow on espaliers with drip-feed irrigation. The plantation is divided into parcels which in turn, are separated into small
plots for the different clones of each variety.

2009 “BL8” BIRLOCHO · VERDEJO/VIURA

The grapes used for our Birlocho come from 60 years old vines planted in clayish soil Once the alcoholic fermentation was finished, the wine was aged for 3 months with the lees from its own lees in stainless steel deposits. Light straw colour with strokes of green, characteristic of the Verdejo variety. Tropical fruit aromas, citrus and hints of fennel. It is light, fresh and lively thanks to a good acidity and balance. Serve with fish dishes, seafood, and risottos. Drink now. 25,000 cases made.

This 100% Verdejo varietal has appealing greenish tones, featuring varietal aromas from Verdejo on a complex background and exotic fruit with aniseed hints. It gives an unctuous, fleshy, fat impression in the mouth with a very pleasant aftertaste. As a good white wine, it is ideal to be enjoyed as an aperitif before meals or to accompany rice-dishes, seafood and obviously fish. Drink now. 25,000 cases made.

This 100% Verdejo varietal is a very bright straw colour with green tones. Intense tropical aromas are not over-shadowed by the sensual toasting notes of the casks. Both characters give the wine a sensual toasting notes of the casks. Both characters give the wine a big aromatic complexity. The palate is very pleasant, and “meaty” with a long aftertaste of exotic fruits. Serve with fish dishes, seafood, and risottos.

95% Tempranillo, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot. In the heart of the Ribera Del Duero DO, PradoRey’s south east facing sloped
vineyards are protected from the high altitude winds. Their grapes are hand picked and hand sorted ensuring only the best fruit
makes it to the winery. The wine is aged 5 months in toasted American Oak barrels giving the wine nice structure and ageability.

2003 CRIANZA

95% Tempranillo, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot. Fermentation of the selected grapes in stainless steel vats at a controlled
temperature for 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests for 12 months in American oak casks from the areas of
Missouri and the Appalachians, followed by a further 5 months in 20.000-litre French oak vats. Lastly it matures one year in
the bottle before its release.

95% Tinto Fino, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot. Ruby red colour with iodine borders. Well cover wine. Complex aromas, ripe
fruits and compotes stand out. After light oxygenation shows mineral aromas, as well as coffee beans and smokeless. Elegant
in the mouth, the soft tannins show off, complex structure, long and silky finish. The wine matures in the bottle for 28
months before its release.

It has cherry red color with dark-red ribbed edges. It is a tall and brilliant layer wine. In nose, shows a great aromatic complexity highlighting the aromas of ripe fruits, Chinese ink and mineral essences typical of this variety. Central European woods combine perfectly with wine. In mouth it is solid round with well-integrated tannins, tasty ending with long and pleasant aftertaste with great presence of red ripe fruits.

2004 GRAN RESERVA

Bright and well covered wine with an intense ruby colour and iodine in the rims shows a wine to keep for years. It has a grand complexity of aromas, especially of ripped red wild fruit, jams, minerals and balsamic on the nose and… gets more subtle as the wine breathes in the glass. In the mouth it is elegant, long and soft tanning, complex structure although well rounded and a long and silky aftertaste.
