2007 ESTATE CHARDONNAY

Liquid sunshine in the glass! Our Chardonnay delights the palate with aromas of poached pear, lemon cream, toasted brioche, and bright honeysuckle. A full, viscous mouth is balanced by classic Trefethen fruit- bright and crisp pear and lemon. The balance of grape acidity and toasty oak in our 2007 Chardonnay will delight any creamy dish, especially if it includes scallops or risotto. Try seasoning with thyme and oregano.

Our 35th vintage of Napa Valley Riesling – yup, we’ve been making it since Gerald Ford was President! – is mesmerizingly fresh and fragrant with gorgeous jasmine, litchi, green apple, honeyed white peach, ruby red grapefruit and slate aromas. Dry, but succulent, its racy apple, kiwi, lime, guava and quince flavors are powered by bright, mouthwatering acidity and a refreshing minerality that animates the wine’s long, lively finish. California Riesling at its finest!

Our Merlot bounds from the glass with a potpourri of ripe black cherry, plum compote, smoked meat, dried tomato, black olive, black tea and sweet vanilla
aromas that preface a lush, round, lengthy palate of concentrated dark cherry, plum, cassis and pie spice flavors. Rich and complex, this is a Merlot to ponder and savor.
Delicious with duck, barbecued chicken, cherry-glazed pork tenderloin, beef and lamb dishes, tomato-based pastas and black olive and mushroom pizza.

2007 ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Like a young, gifted racehorse rounding into championship form, our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has the look – and smell and taste – of a prizewinner. Its exuberant nose of ripe blackcurrants, black cherry, sweet herbs, pepper spice, cigar box and oak vanillin introduces a powerful palate of muscular cassis and blackberry flavors that gain a finishing kick of savory spice and toasty oak as this full-bodied colt races to the wire.
Beef, lamb and game dishes, especially those incorporating oregano, thyme, mushrooms and black pepper.

2006 RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Deep, dark, and delicious. Black cherry, black plum, and fig, along with a tongue-tingling acidity, balance the inherent savory nature of our hillside fruit. Grippy, lip-smacking tannins lead into a peppery finish. And everywhere, there is chocolate.
Brown mole, especially from the master chef of Frontera Grill fame, Rick Bayless, would be the perfect accompaniment to this wine. Also try with fine cuts of beef and lamb, and stews.

2005 HaLo CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Our flagship wine, HaLo, is named for our children, Hailey and Loren, who grew up in the middle of our Hillspring Vineyard in the Mayacamas foothills of western Napa Valley, the source of this superb red wine. This particular vintage is exceptionally balanced and complex with additional flavors of dried black cherries, raspberries, leather, cloves, toasted marzipan, and a long, spicy finish of black pepper, nutmeg, and thyme. Decant to enjoy HaLo to its fullest. Salud!
