TRUCHARD VINEYARDS

Truchard Vineyards is a small family owned winery in Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for over 30 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grapegrowing in the Carneros. In 1989 the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit.

Named by Wine & Spirits Magazine as one of the Top 100 wineries of 2013

2022 CHARDONNAY

100% Chardonnay.
The 2022 Chardonnay is layered with tropical fruit notes of pineapple and mango counterpointed by a core of bright citrus fruits of Meyer lemon, quince, and kumquat then rounded out by granny smith apples, spice, and floral like perfume. The high-quality French oak is well integrated, and the wine has amazing acidity for its richness and complexity.
Enjoy with a variety of seafood and poultry dishes - such as cracked crab, shrimp cocktail and any type of white fish; pasta with a white cream sauce; roast chicken with lemon citrus. Great with cheese - triple cream brie, white cheddar & Chèvre.

2022 ROUSSANNE

100% Roussanne.
Intense aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, and lychee with highlights of brioche and vanilla. The mouth is crisp, with clean flavors of white nectarine, honeydew melon, and lemon zest. Bright acidity provides a lengthy finish of citrus, mineral, and spice.
This is enjoyable on its own, but given the balance of acidity and fruit, it will also be versatile on the dinner table. Salmon or lamb with a fruity tapenade or salsa should make for a great pairing.

2020 SYRAH

100% Syrah.
A floral nose of black cherry, cassis, and ripe plum with a hint of vanilla, leather, earth, and white pepper. The mouth is layered with bright, jammy flavors of boysenberry, red currants, and blackberry followed by mineral and cracked black pepper. Mouth-filling tannins provide an opulent finish of fruit and spice.
This Syrah pairs excellent with heartier dishes, stews, and lamb. For lighter, fair it would go well with heavily spiced/seasoned/herbed chicken or pork.

2021 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec.
A complex nose of ripe plum, boysenberry, and cassis, with hints of cedar and vanilla. The mouth is layered with bright flavors of black cherry, red currants, and berry jam. Ripe tannins focus the palate and provide a lengthy finish of spice and red fruit.
Pair with steak, buffalo, squab, wild pheasant, duck, and hearty stews. Or serve with a pepper crusted grilled tuna steak.

2020 PINOT NOIR

100% Pinot Noir.
Carneros, Napa - Rich aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, and rhubarb with hints of pomegranate, tea, and earth. The mouth is silky with flavors of red currants, cranberry, and sweet vanilla. Firm acidity and delicate tannins focus the palate and provide a lingering finish of spice and red fruit.
This as an all-around, “drink anytime” kind of wine that would be as appropriate with roasted chicken as it would with grilled striploins or Asian-glazed salmon. Also try Roast or grilled pork, Grilled salmon with cherry balsamic glaze, or Wild mushroom and leek risotto with pecorino cheese.
