The climate is maritime and the subsoil consisting of sand, lime, slate, granite and volcanic material is perfect for making some of the very best Provence wines. Here the sun shines up to 3000 hours a year! The vineyards are cooled down by mistral wine, but also by cool winters from the nearby Mediterranean Sea and some vineyards are located directly to the sea.
